Course Reflection
This course meets the requirements for MLO 2 through movies and readings, as well as discussions about films and trends within Japanese film-making. I was able to understand the historical events that affected Japanese film industry, as well as watch and appreciate Japanese cinematic classics like Akira Kurosawa's 7 Samurai. Being also a major in CSUMB's film department, it was great experience being able to watch Japanese classic movies and getting the context of them. There's much more I can learn in terms of film making and staging from these movies, especially I would say from the works of Akira Kurosawa.
